IMPORTANT MESSAGE -19/04/2010: Icelandic Volcano Update

The organising committee has taken the decision that our conference will still be going ahead as scheduled. According to the news, European airspace looks a bit more promising for Wednesday.  Consequently, the conference will now begin on Thursday 22nd of April at midday and will continue into Saturday to facilitate all presentations.

Hopefully we will see you all in Crete later this week!

Conference Aim:

Following the success of the two international conferences on culture, events and tourism, a 3rd international conference will be held from 22-25 April, 2010 in Anissaras-Hersonissos, 25 km from the beautiful coastal city of Heraklion, Crete. The conference will be hosted by TEI Heraklion, Crete and the School of Sport, Leisure and Travel, Buckinghamshire New University, UK

The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for academics, emerging researchers, policy-makers, industry practitioners, and destination management and marketing professionals to discuss and debate key issues in the development and management of sustainable tourism in an era of climate change.
